We ordered two wonderful smoothies made with bananas, strawberries, pineapples and mangos. As we drank our smoothies we walked back through a beautiful neighborhood to our condo. In the evening we decided to head into Old San Juan to get information on the upcoming Christmas Celebrations. We stopped at the Old Harbor brewing company for a glass of some wonderful homemade brew. We then headed out toward the Princesa walkway along the water front on one side and the city on the other.
San Juan has an interesting program to control the rodent population. You will notice a lot ferrow cats throughout the city. These cats are well taken care of with little bowls of food spread around the city. We lost count of how many cats we saw on the walk.
After our lovely walk we headed back into town to have one of my favorite drinks I discovered in April a Passion fruit Caipirinha. We managed to find the same outdoor cafe we discovered in April. Not only was the drink the same as I remembered it was also happy hour. It was time to return to our condo. Our first experience with public transportation went without a hitch.
On Wednesday the rains started in the middle of the afternoon and continued off and on. We were able to head out for dinner at night for a wonderful fish meal with some live music and some Ben & Jerry ice cream for desert. As we left the restaurant we noticed a local resting under his umbrella.
Thursday morning we awoke to an intense tropical storm. I believe this will be a mall day if there is a break in the storm. That is exactly what we did. I believe the weekend will bring sun shine again.
